Being a local business isn't just about the work we take on. It's about the community around us.
Lawday Foundations is how we support local communities and causes, by donating labour, materials, or contributing financially to projects that matter to the people around us.
Our team on site, giving their time and trade skills to community projects at no cost.
Supplying the paint, timber, fixings and finishes a project needs to get over the line.
Direct contributions to local causes where funding is what's needed most.
We aim to put between 2% and 5% of yearly profits towards our Lawday Foundations programme, whether that's through labour, materials, or financial contributions.
We're proud to share that Lawday Construction has started work at a local primary school, undertaking decorating works to parts of the school free of charge as part of our Lawday Foundations programme.
For us, this is about more than a fresh coat of paint. It's about supporting where so many local children spend their days, and doing our bit for the community we're part of.
"Being a local business isn't just about the work we take on, it's about the community around us. This local primary school does so much for the children and their families, so it means a lot to be able to give something back and brighten the place up for them. We're genuinely proud to be involved, and we're hoping this is the first of many projects like it in the future."

Lawday Construction has been awarded Gold under the Fair Payment Code, the UK Government-backed standard administered by the Office of the Small Business Commissioner.
Gold is the highest of the three tiers. To hold it, a business must pay at least 95% of all invoices within 30 days, and commit to the Code's principles of being clear, fair and collaborative with suppliers.
For the subcontractors, suppliers and small businesses we work with, it means one simple thing: you get paid promptly.
Our award runs until 2028. You can read more about the Code on the Fair Payment Code website, or browse the full Awardees Directory.
Lawday Construction has been awarded Worksafe Pro by SMAS Worksafe. Worksafe Pro is SMAS's certification to the Common Assessment Standard, the construction industry's prequalification standard introduced by Build UK and CECA.
To get it, we were independently assessed across a wide range of areas, including health and safety, environmental management, quality, equality and diversity, information security and financial standing. SMAS is also a member of Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP).
For our clients, it means the checks have already been done. You can be confident we work safely and run the business properly, without having to put us through your own lengthy prequalification.
You can read more about Worksafe Pro on the SMAS Worksafe website.
We're committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 at the latest, in line with the UK Government's legislated target under the Climate Change Act 2008. Our Carbon Reduction Plan is published to the PPN 06/21 standard.
